At Saptiva AI we are helping LatAm enterprises move AI from idea to production. We are looking for Forward Deployed Engineers who work directly with customers to turn real problems into AI systems that are useful, adopted, and measurable.

001 / About the role

Own a use case from discovery to production.

As an FDE, you will be responsible for taking a use case from discovery to production. You will work close to the customer, combining software engineering, product thinking, and the practical application of AI to design and deploy solutions that produce real business impact.

This is not a research role and it is not a delivery-from-afar role. The FDE lands inside the customer's team, builds the thing, and stays until it runs.

002 / What you'll do

Embedded with customers. End-to-end ownership.

Work embedded with customers (on-site, hybrid, or remote) to understand processes, data, and real business needs.
Identify and prioritize use cases where AI can generate measurable value.
Design, prototype, and deploy end-to-end solutions: data, models, evaluation, UI, and integration with existing systems.
Support customer adoption with documentation, training, and handover.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to convert field learnings into platform improvements.
Measure outcomes and help expand the relationship with new use cases.

003 / What we're looking for

The shape of the engineer we hire.

3+ years of experience as an AI / Software Engineer building systems in production.
Strong command of Python — not just notebooks — FastAPI, Pydantic, and experience with LLM orchestration frameworks.
Working knowledge of GPU compute and machine learning lifecycle management (MLOps).
Experience building end-to-end RAG solutions and familiarity with agents.
Solid command of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud or on-prem deployments.
Ability to integrate enterprise systems via APIs, SQL, SSO / SAML, and common connectors.
Ability to build a functional UI when needed.
Excellent communication, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.

004 / Plus

Nice to have, not required.

Prior experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or FDE roles.
Experience in industries like banking, insurance, retail, manufacturing, energy, or government.
Professional English.
Experience with fine-tuning, LoRA, and evaluation of open-source models (Llama, Qwen, Mistral, etc).

Where the role is based.

We are currently hiring FDEs in two locations. Both are hybrid, with significant in-person time expected — close to the customer is the point of the role.

Mexico City · CDMX

Our HQ and the main customer cluster — tier-1 banks, insurers, and federal government deployments. Most FDE engagements start here.

CDMX · HYBRID · FULL-TIME

LOCATION 02

León · Guanajuato

Regional hub covering Bajío enterprise customers — manufacturing, financial services, and state government. Hybrid with in-person customer time.
